Use the Sand Penetrometer to determine the likelihood of having fried egg lie development in your sand traps. With the easy to use Sand Penetrometer, you can test your bunker sand right on your own golf course to determine if the golf\u00a0 ball will be buried or sit up and be playable.<\/p>\n
Simply slide the red ring down against the\u00a0 Sand Penetrometer instrument handle, grip the knurled\u00a0 portion of the handle and place the attached golf ball over the bunker sand that\u00a0 you will be testing. Then by pressing downward evenly on the Sand Penetrometer\u00a0 until the attached golf ball reaches the line located at the center, read the\u00a0 results.<\/p>\n
Read the unconfined strength in Tons per Square Foot or Kilograms per Centimeter\u00a0 Squared. The reading is located on the lower side of the red ring – (side\u00a0 closest to the knurled handle).<\/p>\n
